Gionee is all set to launch their next premium smartphone in India and China. Though, it may not feature premium set of specs sheet or even premium built quality, it will be called premium due to its pricing model. The Gionee S10 was spotted on TENAA revealing all of its glory.
In terms of design, Xiaomi has replicated the iPhone 7 Plus. However, it may look similar to the leader of the smartphone; in reality the device offers plastic and metal combination, which does not qualify to be called as premium or flagship. Lets look at the tech specifications before analyzing further.
The so called Gionee S10 was spotted on TENAA (Chinese telecom regulatory authority), revealing all of its tech specs. The device is powered by an unknown 2.0 GhZ Oct-Core SoC (probably Qualcomm Snapdragon 625), paired with 4 GB LPDDDR3 RAM with 64 GB on-board storage. The device offers expandable SD card solution, with expanding capacity up to 128 GB. However, this will be a hybrid solution, which means one can either use 2 SIM cards or an SIM + SD card.
Like most of the recent smartphones, the device offers a 5.5 inch 1080p IPS LCD screen, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass. In terms of camera, the Gionee S10 offers dual camera solution at the back, consisting of one coloured sensors and a monochrome sensor, to cope up with low light photography (13 MP + 13 MP). For selfie enthusiasts, the device also offers 13 MP front facing (fixed focus) selfie camera, along with front facing flash.
Gionee does not miss on add-on features like finger print sensor or 4G connectivity. However, do not confuse with the back smily, as the FP sensor is located on the front, that doubles as home button. In terms of operating system, the device runs on forked version of Android Nougat. As this has already reached TENAA, its most likely to be launched in a few days.
