Samsung India launched an all new PayTM exclusive smartphone in India. One may call this Galaxy J3 pro as a 2017 J3 , if he wants. The device offers variety of specifications, though it does not offer value for money specifications, this is the best and cheapest smartphone one can get under INR 10,000.
In terms of built quality, this device follows its predecessor. The metal frame runs around the device, however, like their hierarchy the fake leather look alike back panel. The device is offered in multiple shades including Gold, silver and dark grey. Lets focus on technical specifications, for in depth understanding about the Samsung galaxy J3 Pro.
On top the Galaxy J3 pro offers a 5 inch 720p Super AMOLED screen, protected by unknown generation of Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, the device runs on 1.5 GhZ Quad-Core Exynos processor, paired with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM as well as 16 GB on-board storage (their selling point). The device supports external SD card upto 128 GB. In terms of connectivity, the device offers two separate SIM card slots, with 4G LTE capabilities on both the slots.
On the optics department, the device is equipped with 8 MP rear facing camera, along with 5 MP selfie camera. Main camera does supports 1080p video footage at 30fps, however the secondary camera maxes at 720p. As one can expect, the device does not offer OIS or EIS, even the dual tone LED flash is missing.
The device offers old school 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery(user replaceable), however, it does not support fast charging capabilities. The micro USB port on the bottom does offer USB OTG. One sad note is everything on this device runs on two years old Android Lollipop.
The device retails for INR 8490 in India. Samsung’s Galaxy J series was always a hit for the company. Probably, due to it’s under 15K pricing.
