Micromax Evok Power, Evoke Note launched

A few days back, Micromax launched their costliest phone, the Canvas Dual 5. Today the OEM unveiled an all new smartphone series named, Evok. To start with the series, the OEM also launched two mid-tier smartphones, the Micromax Evok Power and Micromax Evoke Note.

Both devices offer distinctive specifications, with premium built quality. To prove that fact, both devices offers finger print scanner, 4G along VoLte as well as premium metal built quality. Lets look at the internals for further analysis.

To start with the Micromax Evok Power, the device offers a 5.0 inch 720p IPS LCD screen, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass. Under the hood, the device runs on a 1.3 GhZ MTK Quad-Core SoC. The device offers 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM, 16 GB on-board storage along with a dedicated SD card slot, with expansion capacity up to 32 GB.

With respect to optics, the device is equipped with 8 MP rear facing camera as well as 5 MP selfie shooter. The main camera can record 1080p footage (PDAF), whereas the selfie camera maxes out at 720p at 30 fps.

The device also offers dual SIM card slots, with 4G capability on both. In terms of operating system, the device runs on Android marshmallow, with custom UI on the top. The best part about Micromax Evok power is, its massive 4000 mAh Li-Ion battery. According to the OEM, the battery will last at least for two complete working days.

Moving on to the Micromax Evok Note, the device offers better specs and built quality compared to Evok power. Evok Note offers a massive 5.5 inch rear estate, with more premium and denser 1080p panel, topped off with 2.5D curved glass. The device gets its horse power from 1.5 GhZ Oct-Core MTK SoC, coupled with 3 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard storage. The device also offers memory expansion facility.

The device offers a 13 MP rear facing camera and a 5 MP selfie camera. However, the main camera can only shoot 1080p footage, and the secondary camera maxes at 720p. Even this device offers dual SIM slot with 4G VoLte.

Though, the device gets bigger screen, the battery capacity remains at 4000 mAh. However, this battery can last one complete working day, whatever you do. Just like its brother, the device runs on forked version of Android Marshmallow.

Finally, the device will be available exclusively with Flipkart. The Evok note retails at INR 9499 or $108 and the Evok Power has its value mentioned at INR 6999 or $146.
