Nubia, a China based smartphone OEM brings their latest device Nubia M2 lite to India. The device is expected to challenge smartphones like Redmi Note and Lenovo K5 note. The device retails for INR 13,999 and offers entry-level specs sheet.
In terms of design prospective, the device features all metal unibody with fancy black colour paired with golden borders or corners. The design on this device is a perfect combination of iPhone and OnePlus 3; so there is nothing to complaint on that department. Lets analyse the technical specifications of the same for further insights.
The device is equipped with a 5.5 inch 720p IPS LCD screen, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2.5 D curved glass. Underneath, hides the Mediatek Helio P10 power efficient (Oct-core) SoC. The device even offers 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB on-board storage. The device also offers an external SD card slot up to 128 GB.
Looking at the camera, the Nubia M2 Lite offers a 13 MP rear facing camera with F/2.2 aperture and a massive 16 MP front facing camera with 5P lens and F/2.0 aperture. Both main camera and the front facing camera can record 1080p footage up to 30 fps and slow motion 720p video footage as well. The device even has it’s own finger print scanner located on the rear side.
In terms of network connectivity, the device offers dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE capabilities on either of the slot. The device also supports Bluetooth V4.1 and 5 GhZ and 2.5 GhZ WiFi bands. However, the device still runs on older version of Android Marshmallow with their own skin on the top.
In conclusion, Nubia Me lite is a great smartphone, however has some deficiencies. The low resolution screen with 720p display is a major setback. As we have seen earlier, smartphones under $100 price tag offer 1080p panel; in addition an older operating system will also play an important role for the user.
